About me: overtone and improvisation musician, TaKeTiNa rhythm teacher, leader of Bonner Obertonchor "vox intra voces", duo "vole voce" with Claudiha-Gayatri Matussek, ensemble "frequenzen", ensemble "transfer".
I understand overtone singing as part of the art of expressing the vox humana in all different ways, as a comprehensive musical art that has it's roots not only in the asiatic room but also in our own music tradition as well as in contemporary music. Beyond that overtone singing is the connection from the personal expression to the trans-personal world and a way to inner silence.
I like to co-operate with classical musicians, theater performances, classical indian musicians etc. allways looking for new forms of musical expression.

About me: i first heard about overtone singing in, well, yes, school, around 1995 or so - some tibetan monks chanting and i guess some singers from tuva and i was overwhelmed by that, since it reminded me of the sound of self-resonating low-pass filters on analogue synths i was already addicted to. inspired by a friend who really dug it, i began to sing on my own a few years later. these days i joined SONG, skånes overtone singing association. in my dayjob, i do research on brain frequencies and psychological processes.

About me: CUMIE (“kyu-mee”) singer-songwriter, music producer, creative voice & overtone singing teacher, dancer & budding percussionist. American living between Mallorca & Barcelona. Cumie has sung with/for Cirque du Soleil (TORUK, inspired by the movie AVATAR), Bobby McFerrin, U2, Carlos Núñez, Armani, Megan Fox, Rafael Nadal, Dir. Alejandro González Iñárritu, and she was a soloist with a 100+ member Gospel choir. Cumie is founder of the collective DEEPWAVE Tribal Fusion (world musicians & belly dancers). She sings with MuOM, the only overtone singing choir in Spain. She began to study overtone singing with Baird Hersey in NYC in 2003. Cumie is certified as a Kundalini Yoga teacher. She lives between Mallorca, Barcelona, London and New York; and travels worldwide to give concerts and workshops. Cumie believes the voice serves as a bridge between the unseen & the manifest worlds.

In adition to play music, I offer workshops and courses about Overtones singing techniques and healthy resonance, gong, singing bowl therapy. Teaching and share is an important part of my career in the sound way.

I started with learning overtonesinging with Borg Diem Groeneveld. Began singing in his overtone choir Dana en later on I was a member of the Overtone trio.
