the "sansonika" is a new instrument developed by wolfgang jost a.k.a. wolfman. it is based on the good old monochord, but on the other hand it is totally different. the strings of the "sansonika" are assembled in octaves. this setup creates a wide range of overtones, depending of the way you will play. also new is, that the string are regular guitar strings, so the musican can buy spareparts in every musicstore and even can create her/his individual "sansonika-sound" by mounting strings of his/her choise. you can play "sansonika" alone or with other people and instruments. you can use the "sansonika" for meditation, she is a good tool for people who do soundhealing and she is a very good basis for singing, especially for overtone and -throatsinging. the model "sansonika aum" is tuned to the tone "aum", 136,10 hertz (hans cousto) which is also the tunig of the heart-chakra. the "sansonika harmony" is tuned to "c-pentatonic". she has a harmony-side and a melody-side and is a great instrument to play along with other pentatonic instruments like hang, sansula, kalimba and percussions like udo, maraca etc. the "sansonika" is handcrafted in germany by wolfman. if you are interested in more information or if you want to check the "sansonika" out, send an e-mail to: info@ka-idu.de
