Suggestion: if you want to sing REALLY fast harmonics, try using just your tongue. In my experience, and yours may vary, the lips have a fairly slow articulation rate, limited partially by the neuromuscular aspects, but also by the surface tension of the saliva on the lips.
The tongue can be moved very quickly, and one can learn to move the root, back, middle, and front of the tongue with considerable independence, and also combine that with the lips for quite complicated rhythms and sounds. Try it, it's fun!
