Harmonic Wave Propagation

Waves propagate from the sound source. In this case it is a vibrating string which makes the picture complex for two reasons:- The waves do not refere to one single point of origin- There are several simultanous modes of vibration.The illustration shows how the waves propagate from the antinodal points correlating to the first 6 harmonics of the string.
