Made from a washing broom. The telescopic feature allows you to shift freely between fundamentals within the range of almost an octave. Full length: 140 cm. Upper part: 74 cm. Diameter of upper tube: 22 mm. Lower tube: 19 mm.
Overblowing brings out the tones of the harmonic series: 1-2-3-4-5-... By closing the mound with a finger the odd elements of the series come out: 1/2- 3/2- 5/2- 7/2-...
Selje means willow in Norwegian as this type of flute in Scandinavia was traditionally made from willow bark and wood.
