    A hole in the bottom of the bowl doesn't matter for the sound. But a bowl with a crack on the edge sounds like the first pictures in my video.

    Good to know that there is one here in our online Community who demonstate how to solder a singing bowl. I have one with a hole or leak - not good to boil water in it but because the sound is so lovely it is okay that this singing bowl has a hole or leak. Thank you Martin for sharing your video here on OMN.
