You cannot read and write music?
Music and musical notation are as different as languange and writing. If you know how to read and write music, your musical ability will increase. So learn it, but learn it the easy way. I will start a project soon.
In the video:
1) With the Overtone Analyzer, we can see how music looks like. The entire spectrum consists of fundamentals and overtones.
2) The entire spectrum is reduced to fundamentals only.
3) From the contour of the fundamentals, we construct a picture. The rectangles represent duration and pitch.
4) The picture is abstracted to musical notation. An ingenious invention, isn´t it?
If you love music, it´s absolutely worthwile to learn musical notation.

Musik und Notenschrift sind so verschieden wie Sprache und Schrift. Und doch verbessert das Notenlesen den Zugang zur Musik enorm. Mein Vorschlag: Musik lernen, Notenschrift lernen! Aber richtig ... (Mein Projekt dazu startet demnächst)

1. Wir sehen die Musik, die wir hören: zuerst Grundtöne und Obertöne, dann nur Grundtöne.
2. [oben] Die Grundtöne werden zu einer Grafik; die Rechtecke stehen für Tonhöhe und Tondauer. [unten] Die Rechtecke werden zur Notenschrift. Geniale Erfindung, oder?
