1. do you know that in Vietnam there are many Jew's harps with different sizes and shapes ?
Of course, I know that in Vietnam there at least 10 different types of Jew's harp . My Vietnamese student , Nguyen Duc Minh, is a virtuoso of Hmong Jew's harp dàn môi . In 2006, Nguyen Duc Minh was invited at the Jew's Harp International Festival in Amsterdam where he got an excellent performance .
2.In North Vietnam there are the Hmong Jew's harp which is now very popular in many countries. In Central Vietnam , there are a few types of Jew's harp in bamboo and in metal from different tribes such as Jarai, Ede, Bahnar, Mnong Gar, etc...
The Vietnamese Jew's harp dàn môi has been popular since the time I performed with it 20 years ago . After that Clemens and Sven from http://www.danmoi.de have commercialized it at the beginning of the third millenum in Germany and later in other parts of the world .
some tribes in Central Vietnam such as Jarai, Bahnar, Ede, Mnong Gar, etc... possess this tiny instrument under different shapes in bamboo or in metal .
Hope that my answers will give you satisfaction .
Best,
Tran Quang Hai

Thank You for the response, I'll certainly read the articles, for now I have questions concerning organizations dealing with the jew's harp. I know about The Jew's Harp Guild in the USA but aren't there such societies in Europe. How could I be a member of one?
