Hi Steve, sorry for the "German Only" discussion. I prefer English for all also if my English isn't the best and someonecan find many grammar mistakes ... but to your question: To be true I have to write that it wasn't an orginal collaboration. I wish some musicians "pick up" some visual artists or some visual artists pick up some musicians and create something together but in this case I thought that both works are on a same vibration level that i put all together. Sundra was the first visual artist who gave me the friendly permission to grab her works and then I asked Bernd for his friendly permission. But all in one it was a very long way to make it.

Your idea that composer and visual artist designed together is fantastic. A taste of this kind of orginal collaboration is recorded as a video at the Overtone Festival in Bad Essen 2009 - you can see in the background a visual artists who works a painting during a concert with Weltenreiter.

Thanks, Jen, both for the English explanation and the link; I'll check it out.

About 20 years ago, I led a band called Little Green Men. We called the music Post-New-Age-Hyperbop-Fission ;-) Trippy stuff, and included my first experiments with harmonics, suing heavily modified electric guitar and controlled feedback manipulations. We used to work a lot with an appropriately trippy light show artist.

At that time I dreamed of a program or method that would allow me to combine audio and video in a way that would allow one to assign various visual parameters to corresponding musical parameters. I'm thinking that such software is probably now available. If anyone knows, please clue me in!

    Thanks,

    Steve

Hi Steve, you can call me John - that 's the english version of the danish name Jens. I know that it this name is not much known. David Hykes uses with his Mac a software or program to visualize in his performances his harmonic chant which you can see a little in this photo behind David.

But maybe wolfman or Alfred Wolski knowing more.

    Best,
    Jens
