Overtone Music Network

a common space & database for harmonic overtones

You can find members on this network using regular search, or you can drill down to more specific queries with Advanced Search. Head to the Pool tab and click on the "Search Members" to do a simple search. If you click the "Advanced Search" link, you'll be taken to a page listing to the profile questions of this network and which are included in the search. Fill out the options or interests you're looking for in a member.

With this advanced search you can find members here in this network by their name, gender, country, city, state, instruments (which they play and their musical) influences and last but not least their self introduction in the field «About me«. So if you are a throat singer people can find you searching for Throat or throat singer or throat singing. Where do you would search for throat singing? Check it out. The best item could be the self introduction in the advanced member search - the field »about me«. To find out which instrument a musician plays it could be the profile question »instruments««. For example a jaw harper plays a jew's harp, jaw harp, mouth harp, khomus, dan moi or something like that. So she or he plays this instrument called jew's harp. If you search overtone singing in the field »about me« you will find up to 60 members now. But don't believe this result. There are more than 60 overtone singers in this network. This search result depends on how members have tagged their profile. For example there are some overtone singer in the location/city Berlin but you will find just one person at this moment. If you check out only the single keyword Berlin you will for example Arjopa - Avalona, Carlos Michael - Daniel Pircher - Marcantée the blind bard, - Miroslav Grosser - Vladiswar Nadishana and the Mirkaledo Dreeston Profile with Gerd Krause and Simon Jakob Drees, Gudrun Doberenz, Kerstin Dambeck, Petra Dambeck, Robert Winter and Rosemarie Uhlig and they all chanting harmonics or they »practise« harmonic singing or shorter harmonic chant

So what to do? If you want that vistors of this site will find your profile you can try to find your own profile. If you can not find your profile quickly or you get no satisfaction with your search result just add words like »throat«, »overtone singing« or stuff like that to your profile. If you are playing the instrument sitar use this keyword sitar in your profile. Instruments are recommended to add in the profile question: »instruments.« Really you can find everything for example the single word grid.

Good to know is which keywords are used in the tab »POOL« and the new »SITE MAP«. It is artist - musician - overtone singing - throat - fujara - sitar - didgeridoo - tabla - jew's harp
